Before You Hire

We recommend that you contact either by email or telephone to check availability before purchasing.

Customers are required to pay a deposit which will be calculated based on the value of the item to be hired and provide 2 forms of identification such as a driving licence and a recent utility bill both of which must show the hirer’s name and current address. 

Hire fees must be paid for prior to commencement of the hire period, and any additional charges will need to be paid for on return, ie. over running on the hire period. 

You are welcome to collect and return equipment in your own vehicle, or we can deliver and collect, there will be a £12 charge each way for the local area. For this service we would need prior notice of 2-3 days.

Your deposit will be refunded in full if the equipment is returned in satisfactory condition - we expect items to be returned in the condition they were hired out in.

Any damages/breakages to equipment will mean the loss of your deposit and you will be required to pay the relevant fee  for the period of hire.

 

Basis of charging & payment

Hire charges commence from the time shown on the hire contract and continue until hired items are returned to Gardenbuild or collected by one of our drivers. We charge for time out, not time used.

Equipment may be provisionally reserved in advance by telephone, email or in writing, but you must pay your deposit first. Every effort will be made to have the equipment available for collection or delivered at a time specified by the customer.
